As part of a major restoration project, at a cost of £6.3 million, the national Lido of Wales opened in the summer of 2015.
The project included the remodelling of the Lido, to provide three heated pools. Flexflooring have been involved in the restoration of many council run Lidos in what seems to be a growing trend.

Kier, the main contractor appointed Flexflooring to install 400 square metres of our Artic blend around the pool’s perimeter.
This was installed with a UV resistant binder ensuring the surround maintains its original colour.
Kier first installed a the concrete slab which was allowed to cure for 35 days.
Flexflooring then ground the surface to remove any laitance and to improve the mechanical key. Flexflooring then primed the surface with a solvent free polyurethane binder before using our latest piece of machinery, the P207, know to the guys as Marius, to install a consistent finish at 6mm.
The whole installation of the floor took about a week.
