Sunningdale Golf Club

Client: Sunningdale Golf Club
Stonex & Rubbaflex

Project Background

In March 2014 Flexflooring installed 1,000m2 of Stonex Resin Bound to the front of the prestigious club house at Sunningdale and over 500m2 of Rubbaflex Golf to pathways around the first tee.

Prep Work

This was part of a major groundwork’s project led by SOL Golf. The site was excavated, 300m of exterior grade aluminium edge installed by Initial Systems Ltd, our ground working partner company), before installing a porous asphalt sub base.

Products Used

Golden Quartz aggregates, UV stable aliphatic binders, SBR base rubber, Rubbaflex SG, aromatic pu binders

Once all the preparation work was complete, Flexflooring got to work installing 25mm of SBR base rubber and 15mm of a bespoke mix Rubbaflex wearing course.

For the front of the club house, Sunningdale decided on a Golden Quartz blend, from Derbyshire Aggregates that was installed with a UV  resistant polyurethane binder, ensuring no yellowing of the stone over time.

To compliment this Sunningdale chose a bespoke Rubbaflex blend of beige, black and brown.

The result was a hard wearing decorative finish to the front of the club house (SUDS compliant)  with the path to the first tee complimenting the golden quartz with the softer Rubbaflex product.
