How much do FLEX kitchen floors cost?

We will provide a quote that will take into account factors including:

  • The m² size of the installation area.
  • The layout of the installation area.
  • The location of the installation within the UK
  • The system chosen (microcement takes a minimum of 6 days to install)
  • The finishes needed:
    • the addition of non-slip coatings
  • The duration of the installation process (e.g. preparation works required, cleaning etc).

Microcement

Microcement flooring offers a decorative finish that gives you an industrial polished concrete effect. These floors are seamless and grout free, making them easy to maintain. It is important to note that this system requires at least 6 days to install, with 3 preparation layers, 2 microcement layers and finally sealer coats. Each layer requires overnight curing before starting on the next. The application of different sealers offers several visually different finishes, both matt and satin.

    Yes. An epoxy kitchen floor is one type of resin flooring and works well in domestic kitchens thanks to its durability and resistance to spills and daily wear. In some homes we may recommend a polyurethane (PU) resin system instead, depending on the layout and temperature changes in the space, but an epoxy kitchen floor remains a reliable option for many properties.

    With correct preparation and high-quality materials, our resin kitchen floors last for many years. They resist scratches, stains and heat, providing a long-term alternative to tiles or sheet flooring.

    Resin flooring is seamless, slip-resistant and easier to maintain than tiles because there are no grout lines. It’s also warmer underfoot and can be installed in any kitchen layout, including curved or awkward areas where tiles can be difficult to fit.

    In many cases, yes,  as long as the tiles are stable, level and properly bonded with no hollow spots. Our team inspects the existing surface during the survey and advises whether overlaying or a new base is the best option for installing an epoxy kitchen floor.
